Solitude

How do you define solitude?

Lonely?  Restful? Rejuvenating?  It can be all three.  Maybe you tag it with another descriptive word.

Our personality and current state of mind color our definition of solitude.

Our lives grow busier each day. The never-ending barrage of technology keeps silence at bay.

We struggle to know and remember the true gifts of solitude.

Some run from it, afraid of what the silence will reveal.  Others embrace it.

In solitude the noise no longer drowns out the whisper of God’s voice telling us He loves us.

This post is day 5 in WordPress’s  Photo101 course.  Thanks for taking “A Second Look”.
